How It Started
A decade of craft, refined.
It started with frustration. Qasim had spent years watching Pakistani leather — some of the finest in the world — get exported in bulk to European and American brands, who would finish it, label it, and sell it back at ten times the price. The craftsmanship was here. The materials were here. The only thing missing was the direct connection to the customer.
In 2010, operating out of a small workshop in Karachi with two artisans and a single sewing machine, the first batch of jackets was made. They sold out in days. Word spread. Orders came from the UK, the USA, Canada. Each one was made to the same standard as the last — by hand, one at a time.
Today, Qasim Saeed ships to over 40 countries. The workshop is larger. The team has grown. But the approach hasn't changed: every jacket is made by a single craftsman, start to finish, using hides we've personally selected. No factory. No shortcuts. No compromise on the details that matter.

How We Make Every Jacket
Every Qasim Saeed jacket goes through the same five-stage process. No step is skipped. No stage is rushed.

Hide Selection
Every project begins at the tannery. We personally inspect and select full-grain cowhide hides, rejecting anything with inconsistent thickness, surface damage, or poor temper. Only the top 30% of hides make the cut.

Pattern & Cut
Patterns are drafted by hand and refined over years of feedback. Each panel is cut individually with a sharp knife — not a die press — which allows the craftsman to work around natural imperfections in the hide and maximise usable leather.

Stitching & Assembly
Panels are stitched with waxed thread on industrial machines and reinforced by hand at every stress point — armhole seams, zipper tracks, collar joins. Double and triple stitching is standard on all load-bearing areas.

Hardware & Lining
We use solid brass or antique-nickel hardware throughout. Zippers are YKK or equivalent rated. Linings are cut from breathable viscose or quilted satin depending on the jacket style, and hand-tacked at the hem for a clean finish.

Finishing & QC
Once assembled, each jacket is edge-painted, burnished, and conditioned with leather cream. A final quality-control check covers stitching consistency, hardware function, symmetry, and surface finish before the jacket is wrapped and dispatched.
